Project: Solonos House (Listed House Renovation)
Location: Nicosia, CY
Completion Date: In progress
Renovation of a listed house in the heart of the walled old town of Nicosia. The client brief was to create a calm, serene space, with a mid century modern flare, in the centre of the busy/noisy old town of Nicosia, that would be used as a luxury AirBNB property.
The use of earth tones and natural textures were key elements in the interior design of the space. A terrazzo style, poured cement floor to resemble the terrazzo tiled floors from early 20th century houses, covers the ground floor, while the textured wall surface was achieved by mixing micro pebbles into the paint. Naturally pigmented clay from Greece plasters all the bathroom walls and is complemented with accent antique brass fixings.
The new coral/terracotta floor upstairs that houses the plywood dressed new bathroom is a heavy duty, non slip HPL surface, suitable for wet areas.
We designed all the cabinetry (kitchen, living room furniture, master bedroom bench) which was constructed from marine plywood which nicely compliments the rest of the materials used. All the cabinetry designs were inspired by mid century modern homes which often included minimal lines, built in furniture, day beds, open shelves, etc.
All the lamps, free standing furniture pieces, bathroom fixings, cabinet fixings, fans, planters, curtains and textiles were selected by us.
Still a few more small changes/pieces to be placed until the project is complete.

Project: Margo’s Bellamy Amsterdam, Coffee/Bakery (Renovation)
Location: Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Completion Date: June 2024
Renovation of a corner shop in the bustling West Amsterdam neighbourhood into a take away bakery/cafe.
The client wanted to keep Margo’s signature coral/terracotta coloured walls of the last shop interior, inspired by sunsets and raw, natural material, such as those used in Mexico and Morocco. Contrasted against black accents and a light beige floor with golden speckles to resemble the white sands of the Mediterranean.
The very minimal, clean interior draws your focus to the mouth watering, plant based pastries which really take centre stage in this space.
Worked with local suppliers and designers for the custom built island bar, aluminium and glass display area partition, wooden benches, and steel tables.

Inspired by sunsets and raw, natural material, such as those used in Mexico and Morocco, the client opted for pink/terracotta coloured walls, in contrast to a sunset blue sky. The original oak floor which was painted black was restored to its original state, and complimented by a custom made island made of plexwood with a terrazzo stone top reflecting the different shades of terracotta from the wall.
